Taiwan grew up in a household where drug dealing, pimping, and robbery were the norm. By the time he was in his teens Taiwan’s brother was killed. Soon after, his life spiraled out of control and lead to his being arrested.

After his release from prison, Taiwan came to Pacific Garden Mission for a place to sleep. Instead, he found the truth of God’s word. “When I came to Pacific Garden Mission, my thoughts changed. I renewed my faith…the Hand of God is in this building.”
