Angel struggled with drugs and alcohol, eventually losing his trucking license and his family. He lived in his car through the brutal winters of Wisconsin until he decided to drive to Pacific Garden Mission. Having listened to "Unshackled!" before, Angel knew what the Mission stood for and hoped he could heal there. Initially, Angel resisted the programs, and challenged God to give him a sign. Soon after, his last possession, his car, was towed. Without the money to reclaim his car and without a home, shoes, or family, Angel finally committed to God and joined the Bible Program, where Jesus began working within him in indescribable ways. Now, Angel manages the very same Bible Program God used to save his life, and works to encourage others to accept Jesus as their savior.
